Core Practices
In addition to sitting meditation, under Anyen Rinpoche's guidance, our sangha engages in various practices on a  bi-monthly or monthly basis. Our sangha meets regularly on Thursday evenings and Sundays at noon at Orgyen Khandroling Buddhist Meditation Centre in Ste-Anne's for practice. Please visit our schedule page for dates & times of practices.

Mind Training Teachings
Join us as we listen to previously recorded teachings given by Anyen Rinpoche on Shantideva's text "Way of the Bodhisattva". Rinpoche requested that his students continuously study and contemplate this text.

Way of the Bodhisattva Recitations
Every week we meet in person and online to recite a portion of The Way of the Bodhisattva. Considered the most essential manual for cultivating, maintaining, and increasing bodhichitta, this text also teaches us how to tame our egos and self attachment so that we can more authentically generate love, compassion, generosity, and patience for all sentient beings. All are welcome.

Tara Practice

Tara, the Mother of all Buddhas, called the Swift Liberator, vowed to work for the benefit of sentient beings in female form until the end of samsara.  Enjoy reciting the Green Tara mantra and special prayers
as a group for the benefit and healing of all beings.

Vajrasattva
Reciting the 100 syllable mantra of Vajrasattva is said to be one of the most powerful ways to purify negative karma, habits, damaged tantric samaya, and obstacles. We recite this mantra both aloud and silently during our one hour practice.

Open Meditation
Our open meditation commences with singing the 7 Line Prayer, and is followed by silent meditation. Feel free to join in the recitation or just practice silently. All are welcome.

Medicine Buddha
The recitation of the names of the 8 Medicine Buddhas as well as the long, medium and short Medicine Buddha mantra can bring healing and wellbeing to ourselves and others.

Tsok
Tsok, or the ganachakra feast offering, is an offering and purification practice that is enjoyed by all. We make offerings of food and drink, make prayers to bless the food, and then share a meal together. If you choose to attend tsok, please bring a beautiful offering of new, unopened food or drink to be shared with the sangha.
